For decades, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been celebrated in Promina by a pilgrimage to the Marian shrine of Our Lady of the Angels on the Franciscan island of Visovac, as well as by Holy Mass in the church of Our Lady of the Well in Lukar, and then by an entertainment event in the evening in Oklaj. Traditionally, girls from the Promina area carry the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Visovac in the procession on the island, while men carry crosses and church flags. In the evening, an entertainment event in downtown Oklaj attracts hundreds of Promina people from all over the world, as well as numerous visitors from other parts of Croatia.
